Managing Partner:  Christopher Viveiros, CLU®

Chris started his career with New York Life Insurance Company in August of 2000 in the Boston General Office. Chris won numerous awards during his time as Agent such as qualifying for Executive Council.  After 3 years as an agent in the Boston General Office, Chris was invited to join the management team as a Partner.  In September of 2007, Chris was promoted to Senior Partner in the Boston General Office. 

After serving New York Life as a Senior Partner, Chris was then promoted to Managing Partner of the Norfolk General Office in May of  2011.  Since his arrival, the Norfolk General Office is growing and hitting new records under Chris's leadership.  His mission for the Norfolk General Office is to make the Norfolk General Office the Premier Financial Services Provider in the Hampton Roads area.

Chris has earned the distinguished designation of Chartered Life Underwriter®, CLU®, from the American College as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a minor in Finance and Psychology from Roger Williams University.  Chris is also securities licensed for FINRA series 6, 63, 66, 7, & 24.

Partner: Michael Mendelsohn

 Michael Mendelsohn has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2011.  As a Career Agent, he has qualified for numerous Executive Councils, sales awards and was a member of the Norfolk General Office Agent Advisory Council.  Michael was promoted to Partner in the Norfolk General Office in October 2013.  Prior to joining New York Life, he had a distinguished  U.S. Naval Career retiring at 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice & Management from Excelsior College.  He is also securities licensed for FINRA Series 6, 63, 7, & 24 and is a member of NAIFA. Mike serves on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast Council and is a Nobleman of Virginia Beach.

Partner: Scott Olsson

Scott Olsson has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2012.  As a Career Agent, he has qualified for numerous sales leaders' awards such as MDRT* Aspirant, Career Life Success Award, Career LTCi Success Award and 2013 & 2014 Executive Council.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management Economics from Virginia Wesleyan College.  He is also securities licensed for FINRA Series 6, 63 & 7 and is a volunteer for the Special Games for Chesapeake Public Schools.

Partner: Jennifer Goddard, CLTC

Jennifer Goddard has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2012. As a Career Agent, she has qualified for numerous sales leaders' awards such as MDRT* Aspirant, Career Life Success Award, and 2015 Executive Council.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Human Resources from California State University of Chico. She is also securities licensed for FINRA Series 6 & 63 and is a member of NAIFA.

Partner: Bill Gammon

Bill Gammon has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2014.  As a Career Agent, he has qualified for numerous sales leaders' awards such as Career Life Success Award, Life AllStar, and 2015 & 2016 Executive Council.  He also served his fellow Agents as a member of the Agent Advisory Council.

Bill proudly served in the United States Navy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He is also securities licensed for   FINRA Series 6 & 63 and a member of NAIFA. 

 

Partner: Robert Strittmatter

Robert Strittmatter has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2013.  As a Career Agent, he has qualified for numerous sales leaders' awards such as Career Life Success Award and 2015 & 2016 Executive Council.

Robert proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff NCO.  He is also securities licensed for FINRA Series 6 & 63 and a member of NAIFA.  Bob is a Patient Advocate to raise awareness for families and caregivers with Hereditary Angioadema and an active volunteer with NYL Campaign, Keep Good Going.

Associate Partner: Antwan Gibson

Antwan Gibson has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2013.  As a Career Agent, he has qualified for numerous sales leaders' awards such as the LifeStar Allstars Award, Centurion, 2015 & 2016 Executive Council.

Antwan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Norfolk State University.  He is also securities licensed for FINRA Series 6 & 63.  Antwan is a member of Grove Church and is an active volunteer with NYL campaign, Keep Good Going. 

Senior Development Manager: Edward A. Stein, AEP, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL, CLF®, LUTCF®   

Edward Stein has been in the Financial Services Industry since 1974.  He joined New York Life as a Partner in the Norfolk General Office in 2007.  In 2010, Ed was promoted to Development Manager in the Norfolk General Office and most recently he was promoted to Senior Development Manager.  As a Senior Development Manager, Ed is in charge of implementing all training and development for both new and established Agents.

Ed earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.  Ed is also securities licensed for FINRA series 6, 63, 24, 7, 65, & 26 and is a member of Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council.

Development Manager: Jonathan M. Cagle

Jonathan Cagle has been with New York Life Insurance Company since 2013.  As a Career Agent, he has qualified for numerous sales leaders' awards such as Career Life Producer Award and 2015 Executive Council.

Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Faulknew University in Montgomery, AL.  He is also securities licensed for FINRA Series 6, 63 & 26.

 

 Administrative Manager: Courtney Petry, FLMI, ACS, ARA

Courtney began her New York Life career in 2006 in the Administrative Management Trainee program in the Louisiana General Office. She later trained in the New Orleans General Office and was then appointed Associate Administrative Manager in the Greater Chicago General Office.

In July 2010, she was appointed Administrative Manager in the Norfolk General Office.  She is responsible for the completion of all administrative and processing functions with respect to new business and related accounting.  She also ensures appropriate internal controls are maintained.  As the immediate supervisor of the General Office clerical staff, she provides training and guidance.

Courtney has also earned the following LOMA designations: Associate, Customer Service (ACS), Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), and Associate Reinsurance Administration(ARA).

Agency Standards Consultant: Jason Augustosky

Jason began his career with New York Life as an agent in 2013. After earning his first Executive Council he joined Eagle Strategies, LLC. He spent a year away from the company working with corporate retirement plans. He returned in 2017 to begin his career as the Agency Standards Consultant for the Norfolk and Richmond General Offices.

 Jason earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2012 from Old Dominion University. Jason is also securities licensed with FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, 7, & 24.
